How can I connect a 10 gauge power wire to a 16 gauge spade?
The terminal I need to connect to will only physically accept the width of a 16 gauge spade. Is there special connectors out there to make this possible?

Thanks in advance - james

I know of connectors that adapt a 2-gauge power cable to a 4-gauge or 8-gauge, but never heard of anything to go from 10 to 16 gauge.  Only thing I can think of would be to just untwist the 10 gauge wire and separate about half of the strands and snip them off, then re-twist it and see if it'll fit in the 16 gauge spade.

I would use a 10 gauge spade like this https://www.darvex.com/miva/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=D&Product_Code=SGSPADE&Category_Code=CCO I They have the same size opening as a 16 gauge spade https://www.darvex.com/miva/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=D&Product_Code=SGSPADE16 I use them all the time and never have any problems with installs.
