I just wanted to know if I should connect the LOC before or after the factory amp? or does it even matter?

Yeah, after the factory amp.  Most LOC's require a high-level speaker input and if you hook it up before the amp, then its a low-level input.  You might get some sound, but it will be very low, even with the LOC cranked all the way up.
