I have a question.  I am putting a cd player in a 91 Range Rover and I can't seem to figure out the amplifier(s) inside of this thing.  I found the remote turn on and I get sound, but as soon as I turn the car off... then back on the sound won't come back until I remove all the connections (except for power and remote turn on) and reconnect them.  I was wondering if there was a special way to hook these amps up or do I have to go and bypass them totally?  I am MECP certified, but this is my first year.  I need this info for future reference!! ;)

Thank you!

Jon Kohan

Once you turn the car off and then back on, does the cd player work and you just get no sound?  Or do neither the cd player or the factory amps work (until you redo the connections)?

Also, does the vehicle have rear speakers? Or just ones in the front?

Only the speaker wires.  The cd player is on and playing (putting out a.c.  at the speakers)  But there would be no sound until i dissconnect, then reconnect the speakers.  As I reconnect the speakers sound come on... speaker by speaker as I connect them.  Messed up huh?  I'm thinking you have to bypass the amp(s).... unfortunatly!! posted_image

Yea I think that's how you're gonna have to hook it up...it sounds like a factory amp is acting up somewhere along the line.
