I recently came into a radio from a 2012 Chevy Impala and would like to power it up on my bench for some testing. It seems like I could use a PAC LAN29ON turn on interface, but not really looking to shell out $75 just to mess around in the garage. Anyone know how to replicate GM's digital turn on signal to get the radio to "turn on"?

The only 2 ways to get that radio to come on is the above mentioned device or the body control module and all associated harnesses out of the vehicle from which THAT radio came from. That bcm will turn on only that radio. Identical radio out of same make and model vehicle will not turn on. The 75 dollar option is by far the most affordable option.
