Hello, ive built a ported box. One thing i overlooked was the mounting depth. The slot port runs along the back wall. The speaker barely fits. The magnet may actually be touching the port wall. I was wondering if anyone knows if this is going to be a problem. It sounds good but i only tested it a little. I the sub is vented through the magnet and the baffle is at an angle so if the magnet is touching it would be angled and only touching at the very top. I cant find any info on speaker installation as far as how close it can be to the back wall of an enclosure?

Whats that noise?

You don't want the magnet against the wood be either the rear wall, port etc...
Since the woofer is vented out the bottom of the magnet, I would leave min 1" clearance, more won't hurt.
