Hey guys I have a 2015 Chevy Spark LS (it currently has the basic radio and no backup camera) and I want to put in a Pioneer AVH-2330NEX Android auto head unit and I wanted to know if you are able to maintain use of the microphone that's in the headliner for the OnStar with that head unit for Bluetooth hands-free calling because I don't like using those stupid ones that they include that you have to clip to your headliner if there's already one in the car. For any of you that have installed an aftermarket head unit were you able to use that microphone? Did the aftermarket wire harness come with the ability to tap into that microphone? I plan on buying all the stuff from Crutchfield.

Parts I have chosen based on my research:
Radio: https://www.crutchfield.com/p_1302330NEX/Pioneer-AVH-2330NEX.html
Dash kit & Harness: https://www.crutchfield.com/p_120993309B/Metra-99-3309B-Dash-and-Wiring-Kit-Flat-Black.html
^^^this harness seems like it taps into the factory microphone but I'm sceptical since mines an LS I absolutely will not have that ugly Bluetooth mic Pioneer includes lol
Antenna adapter: https://www.crutchfield.com/p_12040EU55/Antenna-Adapter.html
I was thinking about doing XM satellite radio but I'm not sure how the A- pillars come off to put the wire up and stick the antenna to the windshield.

You can't use the OnStar microphone as it is connected to the OnStar system. Audio from it is then controlled through data with the original factory radio. Radio voice commands are identified by the OnStar module and then passed through it to the factory radio. The impedance of the microphones may also be different.

Do some research on the Pac-audio.com RP5GM41 I know the GM31 in other vehicles allows you to use the factory bluetootn microphone with the factory bluetooth system.

I just sent them an email so hopefully they'll advise me on what to do. There's no sense in having 2 microphones someone would make a bunch of money if their product allowed use of the factory microphone. It's 2018 after all lol.
