I want to install a CB in my Subaru Baja (Legacy). The unit would occupy one of the currently empty stereo bays, be powered by a fused wire to the battery, and have a coax wire run under the carpet to the back seat. It would then go through the rear wall and connect to an antenna that I'm still working out.
Simple enough, and I've installed a few cb's before, but in the manual it says about nine times not to install a CB without some unmentioned precautions.
Anything to worry about? The airbag module is kind of close I suppose (and is also made of metal).
Also I don't really plan on using a linear amp or anything. A stock Midland, 6 watts tops.
Thanks!

You have nothing to worry about just provide a dirrect fused wire to the battery(16 gauge should be fine) and a good ground. As for the electronics in your car just make sure that the antenna is tuned right.
