Do you know a speaker L&R signal before the amplifier? The signals you gave that were after the amplifier cut off the lower frequencies of the sub when connected to an LOC. Heres a picture of the harness thats before the amplifier

Chances are the signal from the radio will not be enough level to drive an amplifier. Is there a factory subwoofer?

Even with a LOC? yes it comes with a factory subwoofer.

An LOC converts speaker level to preamp level. Wires between radio and amplifier are preamp level. Very few vehicles with an OEM amplifier have enough level on their preamp section to drive an aftermarket amplifier. You will need to use an LOC but you have to connect it to the wires between the amplifier and the woofer.   How many wires are there going into the woofer?

That's interesting to note.In your opinion, what is the best way to see the amount of voltage a stock head unit is pumping to its preamp outs?Place the DMM on AC volts and hook the probes to the connector while playing a sine wave of say 1000hz or so?
