WELL HEY THERE STRANGERS! i havent logged into the website for over 10yrs now haha. hope everyone is doing good here.

I still have some old school subs that are Dual Voice coil at 6ohms.   i have 2 of these subs.   Currently they are wired in Parallel/Parallel to get a 1.5ohm load on the amp (Bridged).
The AMP's ratings is as follows:
(4 Ω) (20 Hz – 200 Hz, 0.5 % THD) @ 200 W × 1
(4 Ω) (DIN : 45324 , +B = 14.4V) @ 200 W × 1
(2 Ω) (100 Hz, 0.5 % THD) @ 400 W × 1
(1 Ω) (100 Hz, 1.0 % THD) @ 500 W × 1

The amp can handle the load.

MY Q is..what wattage is the amp putting out? I'm trying to figure out a voltage to set the gains at here.

do i just meet in the middle and say its doing 450 Watts at 1.5ohms?

Thanks for all your help!

Those output ratings you listed are skewed to give you pretty round numbers, but are not realistic of what it will actually produce in your vehicle. Working from the 1 ohm rating listed at 500W, it would be 125W at 4 ohms and 250W at 2 ohms, so 333W at 1.5 ohms.

What amplifier are you using?
