Im new to dual voice coil subs so im a smidge confused.. So im installing a Rockford p300x1 2ohm mono amp with a sealed Kicker Compr 10" 2ohm. The amplifier has 2 channels. Is each channel 1 ohm and only 2 ohm if bridged? I cant find a diagram for a 1 2ohm DVC sub with a 2ohm 2 channel amp. Would I do parallel wiring on the sub with the amp bridged or would I connect each channel to each coil?

Your amp may have terminals to connect more than one sub, but they are connected internally as it only has one channel. If it's only stable to two ohms, I suggest connecting your voice coils in series (end to end), which would present a safe four ohm load to the amp.

The P300x1 is a one channel amp with two sets of speaker terminals to make it easier to connect multiple woofers or voice coils to it. The amplifier is stable down to a 2 ohm load. You can always run it at a higher impedance, but not any lower.

If you have a DVC woofer with each coil being 2 ohms, you can only wire the voice coils in series for a 4 ohm load to the amplifier if you want to use both voice coils. Otherwise, you can wire just one 2 ohm voice coil to the amplifier for a 2 ohm load. You can NOT wire both 2 ohm voice coils in parallel for a 1 ohm load to this amplifier.

If your woofer has one 2 ohm voice coil, you're all set.

If your woofer has two 4 ohm voice coils, you can wire them in parallel and connect it to this amp for a 2 ohm load. Edit: The amplifier does have a left and right input and pass through, but it is a mono amplifier, not a stereo amplifier.

I just took out my sub and it turns out the audio place gave me a 4ohm kicker since I went back to replace the 2ohm that was faulty. So my CompR 10" 4 ohm will be fine with this amp parallel and be at 2ohm right? I think thats what I gathered from all my studying of ohms and the wiring. Yea those two terminals confused me, figured they were two channels. I would of gone back to have them wire it for me but they were telling me the size of the box does not matter on the subs, since they were trying to make me buy a tiny sealed box and I told them I was building one to spec. Made me lose my confidence in them.

Yes, you can just wire your voice coils in parallel if they are four ohm.
