It's true that there are many chinese-branded products, as well as china-made ones. It's important to look at the specs

Very, very, true, and great advice too! BUT just read the specs carefully! If you've ever been into car audio at all you are aware of the really crappy practice of companies inflating their numbers for specs to sell less than adequate product. but like I said if you've done this before you already are aware so I won' preach about how absolutely F'ED UP that practice is!! and the ones it tends to affect most are innocent folks not acquainted with the practice AND young drivers with their first car/system.
I know I personally have fallen for this at least once and probably two or three times but I was lucky enough that when I got started working on my car audio at the tender young age of 15 I soon made friends with a couple of guys who had been around for awhile and were friendly and in no way car audio snobs like many of us can be. Knowing some guys that had built a few systems and were up to date on all the current product and tech made my whole life so much easier because it's too easy to fall for the old 'BOSS Car Audio 2000 watts amplifier - for $49.95' when you aren't aware that it's not illegal to do this even though in my eyes it is immoral!!!
Just my two cents.. Sorry My $0.02is actually about a quarter's worth of text! I can get wordy and I apologize!
