How much current can power wire handle for 0/1 4 and 8 guage.
I have two high powered amps that have 150 amp fuse rating and need 0/1 guage wire. (Also I have two amps that use 4 guage wire and will setup the same way.)
Which is the best way to wire the amps:
1. O/1 Power wire run straight to the positive of the battery (fused of course)and use a distribution block for the ground 2 ground wires in 1 ground wire out to the negative of battery.
2. The 0/1 power and ground each use a distribution block 2 in 1 out from the amp to the battery.
3. Run all the O/1 power wires straight to the battery's positive terminal and the ground wires straight to the battery negative terminals. If I use this way should I also make copper buss bars to attach the wires to the battery terminal posts.

For cable size recommendations, see here:
https://www.the12volt.com/wiring/recommended-car-stereo-wire-sizes.asp
You can see 1/0 gauge is rated up to 350 amps, 4 gauge 150 amps and 8 gauge 100 amps.
Just make sure you don't exceed these ratings.
I'll leave it to the experts here to give you their recommendations.

What is the rating of the alternator and what size cable feeds the battery?
Can't see the point of running any combination of cables that have a combined cross-sectional area much greater than that alternator-to-battery cable.
