LC2i Install to Factory Radio with Factory Beats Audio

Hey guys, I really need help with installing this LC2i!
   I have a 2016 Chrysler 300S with the Factory Beats Audio System, which has an 8” sub in the rear deck and another 8” sub in the trunk. I’m adding a SSA XCON 15” woofer and an Alpine MRV-M1200 Amp. From what I have read and been told, the sub in the trunk is the best one to tap into cause it’s a low frequency subwoofer and the one in the rear deck is for highs and mids. There are 4 wires going to the sub (2 wires are +, 2 wires are -) in the trunk so I’m guessing it’s a DVC Sub? I had the LC2i tapped into the sub in the rear deck to begin with and it’s sounded good but wasn’t hitting like it should and would kick the amp into Protect Mode. The Gain, LPF and Bass EQ would all be turned all the way down too. I just don’t understand! :(

Anyways can someone please help!?!?! I want to know how to tap into the trunks subwoofers 4 wires. I thank you in advance for the help!!

hey dude, i get what you mean.. have you tried just using the front left and right speaker signals? i had this issue in the past with the new and old 300s. found to get a better signal and FULL RANGE SIGNAL from the front woofers... I'm no expert but i remember this working phenomenally

Installing for 6 Years now, with canards leading electronics company now with my own local remote starter and audio install shop.

There is less bass going to the door speakers than there is going to either of the woofers. Give me a minute to find wire colors for the sub in the trunk. If I can not find colors do you have the ability to solder wires to a 9 volt battery?

Subwoofer (+/-)      gray/brown - dk. green/brown (1); gray/white - dk. green/white (2)      +,-      amplifier above driver kick, black 16 pin plug, pins 10 - 2; 9 - 1      

I have not tried the front speakers, but I have read a lot of people tap into the as well. Would I tap into both right and left speakers? Like one wire going to the left + and - then another wire going to the right + and - then both wires going to the left and right speaker inputs on the Lc2i?

Thanks for the reply! But I don’t have a soldering gun. I’m sure I can borrow one from a friend though. I was told you wire the left speaker input on the Lc2i to one pair of the + and -, then the right speaker input to the other + and -. But not sure which one is left and right one the factory subwoofer

1 is left, the other is right. In this application it really does not matter.

Well I tried this and I must not have the speaker inputs on the LC2i correct? I’m getting a ton of bass a really low volume and its only certain bass notes that hit, it sounds terrible. The amp is turned all the way down also. I wired the Left +/- Speaker Inputs to the +/- wires on the factory sub and the Right +/- Speaker Inputs to the other +/- wires on the factory sub. I triple check to make sure positive is going to positive and same with negatives. Wasn’t sure if I’m supposed to have it bridged on the LC2i Speaker Inputs or if I done it correctly by the way I just explained?? Also idk if it matters but my 15” XCON is 1 OHM DVC wired in Series to 2 OHMS.

Disconnect 1 of the RCA jacks from the amplifier. What does it sound like now? Reconnect that one and disconnect the other one, what does it sound like now?

Sorry for such a late reply, I will give this a try today and let you know what happens. But I did end up just going back to how I had it originally (tapped into the center sub in the rear deck). It sounds good but to me it isn’t as loud as it should be. I set the Lc2i by listening to a song with a lot of bass and adjust everything until the maximized light flickers then I turn it back til it stops. After than I set the gain on the amp with a multimeter, now this part I’m not sure if I’m doing it exactly right. I play a 50hz test tone, then turn up the gain til I get 39V on the multimeter. If I done the math right it comes to 39.98V and that’s what I’m supposed to set the amp to so it’s working at it’s full power? Do I just leave the Bass EQ and LPF alone?
