Hey 12volt world. It’s been a long time since I’ve been on here. 2 years ago I closed up my shop, packed up, and moved to Texas to take advantage of an opportunity at my full time job. Haven’t really done anything 12volt related since other than some small odds and ends here and there.

Anyways, I recently picked up a 2018 Ram 2500 with the factory Alpine system and it’s just not quite doing it for me. I was hoping to start with just upgrading the amp but I’ve heard that the audio signal from the 8.4c to the amp is a proprietary digital signal. My plan B was to just upgrade the 6x9’s in the doors but the signal going to the speaker is already filtered so that would be a waste.

What are my options? Keeping the 8.4c is a must.

Thanks in advance.

The PAC Amp Pro is a great way to go.

Idatalink also has options:
