I have a 2008 Nissan Altima with Bose (non-nav) radio that will be replaced with a Chinese Android headunit. I want to retain the factory steering wheel controls -- anyone have info on which factory wire to splice for the Key 1 (aftermarket radio SWC wire). Is this possible without the ASWC-1.

Thanks in advance!

Thank you for your response, mgoetz74! So, I assume you tried splicing the factory SCW wire for aftermarket integration with no success? Does it not work at all? Do you think it makes sense to give in and just purchase the damn ASWC1 to retain factory steering wheel control?

mostly the Chinese deck. They work some times, most of the time they don't. The decks that have the built in swc were put on this earth to make me suffer. I don't know why ive been a installer for almost 30 yrs now and the one thing that I still just struggle with

LOL! I am hoping that it will work, at least some of the functionality of the factory steering wheel control. To try this out, which factory pin do you suggest I connect to the aftermarket Key 1 (SWC)? I believe the aftermarket Key 2 is just ground.
