I have a Sony MP3 Unilink changer that I used to use with my Sony deck.  I just got an Eclipse deck that is much better.  Is there any way I can hook the two together or at least use an FM modulator?  If I got all of the pinouts, do you think that would work?

You can use the fm modulator with any head unit--factory or aftermarket.  You might want to see if your head unit has an optional auxilliary input adapter though, cuz that would let you at least send the sound via RCAs instead of fm.  You're still gonna have to use the modulator's display and all but at least the SQ will be a lil better.

Actually your changer needs to be able to support this function and I'm pretty sure sony changers do let you do this.  Give me the model numbers for the changer and the head unit though and I could give you a more accurate answer.

on sony cd changers there is actually a difference between the rf systems and there direct connect systems. the problem is that with the rf system it suplies three sets of wires going to the actual changer one the rf module wire. two the powers and ground. and three the controller cable. .. in the direct connect models there is only two sets of wires one is the rcas that go to radio and the other controls the powers ground and the actual control of the unit . and gives its display. so i dont think you can make a non sony radio work with a direct connect sony ch changer,.,

the only way to do this is if you can get an old sony rf controller which is hard to get,. this is the only way to make this work unlike kenwood where there is a switch the differs the two but the connection is the same all one wire.
