I am working on a 2002 dodge ram quad cab SLT with infinity system

I installed the steering controls from the a 2005 dodge ram into my truck. I have a a JVC head unit (KW-M740BT) and a ASWC-1. I have installed everything as per the instructions and it doesnt work, Im guessing cause I dont have the factory kill switch there for not having the factory bus control? How do I wire this up so that the steering wheel controls work with the JVC?

Which wires of the aswc-1 did you connect to which wires of the vehicle? Did your aswc-1 come with the 3.5mm to brown wire adapter? Which wire of the JVC did you connect that wire to?

Why did you install the 2005 steering wheel controls? Did the 2002 come equipped with steering wheel controls?
