I have a JBL Club WS1000 in a ported box power by an Infinity Kappa 5 amp. The JBL Club allows you to set resistance at either 2-ohms or 4-ohms and the maximum RMS is 200W. The Kappa 5 puts out 350W @ 2-ohms and 200W @ 4-ohms. My installer said the sub should be set to 2-ohms but that seems like it's then being overpowered. Setting it to 4-ohms would put the amp RMS right at the maximum speaker RMS.

Is there something I'm missing here? Any guidance appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Connect as 4-ohms. As a side benefit the damping factor will be improved
