Hi there I have a strange one for you here so I am sure some of you that work in the field will know the answer to this problem. So I have a 2017 Transit Custom (UK model)This is a panel van and not one that you guys get in the US. This comes with ford Sync 2 system with a simular radio layout to the Ford Focus. I have installed some upgraded speakers a 3 way active front setup with a single 10 inch sub. I have 2 amplifiers and a Dayton 408 DSP these get there signal from a Audio control Lc2i which is feed high level inputs from the speaker wires which then output a remote on that then turns on the amps & DSP. This is all working fine and I have no problems with the sound and all work as it should . The problem that I have is when I open the van with the remote to lets say get some tools out I hear the amps fire up and these stay on a little while after I lock the van with the remote again. This also happens even when I turn the headunit off so what is causing this to happern I know these newer vechicles have all sorts of things going on in the backround. Thanks

Do you have an aftermarket keyless entry system?

have just drawn it out and think I may have it sorted . As a trades person I may lock and unlock the van upto 10 times a day some days and I have fitted 4 led strip lights in the cargo area so have had the battery go flat a couple of times so not good really. I do have one of those small jump packs now which has got me out of trouble but on a new van you should not have this problem I see there are plenty of people who have the same problems with these vans. The fix I have planned is to fit a 30a spdt relay which will only apply 12 volts to the Lc2i once the ignition is on I am going to use the heated seat supply side of swicth for my acc position 12 volts to trigger the coil which will make the relay which will supply 12 volts to Lc2i which has a remote out wire which will turn on the DSP and amps will have a go at this tomorrow fingers crossed but should work
