Does any know how to covert port to slot.   Is slot better than port?

Maxst, I beg to differ... if you use the right formula, a port is a port no matter if it's round or slotted, so you can tune it at will...

Nt2bfkwit, you may want to take a look at the vent size topic in page 2 (here's the link: https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp?tid=14508&PN=2 ) where you can see bberman's explanation/formula to make the conversion you want.

A slotted port reduces the port noise to almost nothing because of the larger area that the air is able to move. That is the difference between a ported and slotted port.

Thanks for the help.  One more thing the box I plan on fabricating requires two port per woofer.  Would I have to first figure out how to combine both ports to one, then covert to slot?
