I Have This Calibration Mic. Now What? AudioControl D-6.1200

So I've successfully upgraded my amp and speakers on my factory system - things are sounding great. But I keep reading about how using a calibration mic can really take things to the next level.

The amp I'm using is the AudioControl D-6.1200 (https://www.crutchfield.com/p_161D61200/AudioControl-D-6-1200.html). The software you use with this is really top-notch, but it's got so much tweakability that I'm a bit lost... I feel like using some kind of calibration would get me to a better baseline (no pun intended) as opposed to me just moving sliders up and down without any guidance. Granted, I have already followed AudioControl's basic walkthrough of the app and done a basic setup of the amp per their instructions. But the AudioControl software does not do any kind of calibration using a mic.

So now, I have this calibration mic (with XLR connection). Sooo, what do I do to follow some kind of calibration protocol? Is there some specific software I should use? I do have a USB interface with an XLR input on it, so I can use that to connect to my laptop if need be. Is it easier to do this with a smartphone or tablet? If so, the only kind of cable I see out there on the interwebs that allows connection of XLR to Lightning port (iOS) is $100 just for the cable.

Any thoughts from anyone who has done this would be greatly appreciated.

I have an Audiocontrol D.6-1200 I just installed. So I am learning as well. I am learning a lot because I have never done a complete install before and I chose my smaller personal car, a Pontiac Solstice, which I thought would be easy. It's not been easy. Everything I've done, I've had to get advice on. I did manage to get the amp mounted behind the waterfall panel...something most won't even try on our cars. But I'm at the same exact spot. I got the amp tuned to it's base tune...now I want to fine tune it.

You're gonna love the D.6-1200. Best amp I've ever owned by far. I went ahead and sprung for the Bluetooth connection adapter so I could control everything from my phone on-demand instead of having to bring my laptop out every time and run a USB extension cord from the front to back. Totally worth it.

Use an RTA to fine tune the system.
Which XLR mic did you purchase?
