I have a custom box for a sierra, it goes under the back seat. It has room for two 10's. There's only about 1 cubic foot per speaker. I have a 2000 watt audiobahn amp. Any suggestions.

I do not know much about Audiobahn, but why don't you try a audiobahn sub. I heard some Kicker Comp Vr sub's in that same enclousure and it played very well. They were powered by a 400 watt amp(I do not remember the brand) I know that JL Audio does not require a lot of air space and also Image Dynamics. -------------

I don't know about your budget but try "infinity kappa perfect 10.1" If you get 400 RMS each from your amp (4-channel, bridged) they're actually perfect, got a pair a couple of weeks ago <amazing>. They could even accomadate .3 cu ft each, though mine are .75 w/mid insert

Unless you intend to have the box ported, 1 cu. ft. per sub for 10" subs is actually more like a large sealed box, and you will have a fairly difficult time finding a sub whose optimal sealed enclosure volume is 1 cu. ft. Usually the problem is the other way around (i.e. you need a box bigger than what yours is) and this kind of problem can often be decreased or maybe even eliminated by adding some fiberfill to the inside of the box. I don't know of any way to make the box smaller except adding more boards to the inside and then re-sealing the seams of the enclosure. The Kappa Perfects are sweet subs and I've always loved them ever since they came out a couple years ago. The VQ ones are particularly cool cuz you can adjust them for different enclosure sizes. They will work in a 1 cu. ft. enclosure but it's not the optimum size recommended by Infinity. They recommend 0.75 cu. ft.. The older Kappa Perfects (not the VQ series) will work perfectly in a 1 cu. ft. ported box but require a much smaller sealed box (0.6 cu. ft.) than what your enclosure is. I forgot to ask you the most important question.....how much do you want to spend on these subs? ------------- Ethan

And Eclipse the Titanium series woofers https://www.eclipse-web.com/
Both companies put out some of the best subs on the and they both sound great at around 1000 watts.

the M6 may be a bit overpowered at 1000W IMO...a Diamond TDX would be a much better woofer for that application, they sound awesome even in a 1 cu ft enclosure...
a JL10w7 may be the only other sub (other than a Brahma or IDMax) that would sound great and easily handle 1000W that I can think of off of the top of my head right now (although Im very tired so dont quote me on that just yet, heh...)

if you can afford it i would surely go with the 2 10" titanium subs from eclipse with out a doubt in my mind. they have very clean sounding bass and great low end bass. and it will handle the amp you got. they are good with small sealed enclosures. you cant get much better. but ur looking at 400 to 500 dollars for one of them.

Actually if you shop around you should be able to purchase them for around 300-350 from an authorized dealer. But most will charge 4 or $500. However you can find them for much less on eBay, but you will not get a warrantee from Eclipse.

Authorized Eclipse dealers sign agreements to NOT discount and Eclipse goes to great lengths to uphold these. Also, JL 10w7 is rated at 500watts optimum...1000 is the black zone, void warranty.

lol and it is sooo easy to prove how much wattage is going to the sub...
and they are actually usually pretty reasonable about replacing them even if you have are using more power than they are rated for...
besides it would almost be classified as talent to blow a w7 with 1000W...or intentional...you would have to be pretty n00bish with the whole system design...wrong box, poor gain settings, bad crossover points, etc...

They might sign agreements, but I can tell you first hand that there are plenty of authorized dealers, both big and small that are violating the contract. And you can find them for $300, $350 for 10's
