Hello, I have a 2016 Honda Accord ex-l at 189000 miles and over the last few weeks I am getting a crackling static in a rhythmic pattern that will come on and stay about 4-6 min duration and maybe go away unless I cut the car power off. Sometime this does the trick temporarily but not always and also this will occur with the radio/audio on or off while the car power is on (driving). I have advance noise canceling (ANC) on this car and I have disabled it by cutting the microphone wires in hope of eliminating this problem. It did not work and the crackling static continues. Could my radio unit be going bad? I want to be certain if it is before buying replacement OEM radio since all the computer module of this car is in this radio unit head as well. Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

How many microphones did you disable? Which one(s)?

I disabled the front and the back microphones that were designed for the ANC
