I have a 09 GMC Sierra 1500 basic stereo, don't think it has any amplifiers. Looking to install aftermarket stereo. I don't care of I lose On Star or the door chime, would like to have RCA if possible.. So many of them out there to choose from. Which do you recommend. Thanks!

If you get this, and want to retain your retained accessory, let me know and I will let you know where to run that bundle of red wire.

This is a picture of the junction block just to the left of your brake pedal.

Notice the bottom left slot has no pins in it. The slot just above that is populated with several pins. Pin 8 is retained accessory. If you for some other reason need an ignition source that goes on and off with the key, pin 6.

The bundle of red wire that comes with the above mentioned harness has the proper connector on it already, and it will reach to the radio cavity of that vehicle.
