Is there anyone out there who has ever tired to wire on a ceramic power resistor in parallel with a 8ohm sub in order to get the impedance they want. I bought two used JL subs and only wanna use one, but I don’t want a single 8ohm sub. Was thinking about trying to use a power resistor to try and achieve a lower resistance for the amp to see and retain the correct power. Thanks

The resistor will consume any extra power the amp produces. You will be in the same boat.
