I just installed a pioneer avic 5201 in a 2007 escalade with the antenna built into the rear glass. I used a maestro rr and a gm 5 t harness. The oem radio worked fine and the avic came out of my old car and it was fine.
The radios FM reception is very erratic. One minute it's fine then its terrible.
I wonder if my issue is the maestro rr is not powering up or signaling the oem antenna to switch on? Does anyone know how I could check this?

Possible bad antenna adapter. There is nothing that needs power in that system.
