Hello. So I have a 2003 Ford Mustang and i have an old school Rockford Fosgate Punch HX2 dvc sub (500 watts rms) 1000 watts.

I know i need to match the amp appropriately to this sub but im not sure what the wattage needs to be on the amp. I plan on getting a class D monoblock amp to run the sub.

Can anyone advise me please? Thanks in advance.

is it a 10 or 12? I personally have a 12 that is 1000 rms but only have 500 going to it, mind you its in a sealed enclosure.
