Is an 8 ohm load or resistance cleaner/clearer than 4 ohm or lower load for amp powering your subwoofers? I get that you get more power at lower resistance but if you can afford a bigger power amp to make up for the wattage reduction, wouldn't it sound better? I'm looking for sonic quality or musicality. I'm looking for tight, punchy but not a distorted sound. Not pure power for competition. Of course you want as much power you can afford with out going over you speaker's wattage limits. But is running your load at 8 ohms tighter/cleaner or with less distortion than at 4 ohms.

4 ohm would be more efficient as 8 ohm is definitely not punchy. 8 ohm is normally dedicated to home audio keeping in mind that we have 110 volts. If your set on 4ohm or 8ohm total impedance make sure you get class ab amp not class d. MB Quart has class ab mono amp which is super affordable. Definitely do sealed enclosure
