I've purchased a radio for a 1994 chevy silverado and am having trouble installing it. All my wires seem to run back to some type of computer or brain. Anybody have any tips or suggestions?

Thanks

Is this the full-size Chevy pickup?    And do you have a tape player in the glovebox?

Yes full size chevy silverado. It does have a tape player under the air conditioner vents, but I have already bought the adapter kit that replaces that and the replacement slot for the orginal radio

Did you get the wiring harness (Metra 70-1858 or equivalent) and antenna adapter in addition to the dash kit?

The wires are run to the org.radio that is actually under the dash.  what you see up in the dash is a control head for the radio.  What you unplug from under the dash from the radio are the wires you plug into your adapter.  The wires on the otherside of the adapter are the ones used to wire your aftermarket deck to.   Hope this helps
