Hi,
I have a Ford Falcon AU2, year 2000 car. I have a Kenwood Radio KDC-BT51OU installed. The original Ford Factory fitted radio was removed.
I have a power aerial with a red and green wire terminal plug but cannot see any other wires.
Does anyone know how I can connect the aerial to the Kenwood radio so the aerial can raise when the radio is on and retracts when the radio is off.
Thanks.

I can only assume that one of the wires is constant 12volts. The other is probably the trigger wire to raise the aerial when the radio is on.
You need to get a fuse holder and a 5 amp fuse, connect one end of the fuse holder to a known good 12 volt source. Touch the other end of the fuse holder to both of the wires.
Does this make the aerial extend? If it does extend, let it go all the way up. Then connect the fuse holder to only 1 of the wires. If it does not go down, connect it to the other wire. Which ever wire makes it go down is your constant 12 volt wire. Leave that wire connected to the fuse holder, and touch the other wire to it as well, if it goes up when you do that, that wire needs to be connected to the blue or blue/white wire of your radio.

I appreciate the assistance on the issue I have. I'll be checking the wires and test the car aerial next week and get an inline 5 amp fuse for the power wire. I'll let you know how it goes in about a week.
Cheers.

If it is not yet mounted in the vehicle, you will need to ground the frame of the unit.
