I just bought a 12" NVX sub. VSW122v2. DVC 2 ohms, to be wired in series. I finished my sub box and was about to wire the sub when I noticed one of the spring loaded terminals was stuck. When I inspected the sub more closely, I saw the tinsel wires were either loose in the connectors, or not in the connector at all. 2 of the 4 wires stuck into the hole at the top of the connector tube and came out the side hole, but they were not secure. The other 2 wires were not connected to them at all. I emailed NVX but have not heard back. So 2 questions: how are the tinsel wires supposed to be connected and secured to these terminals, and how can I take the terminal apart and fix it? Thanks

Turns out there was a pin stuck in there. Like the ones used to secure the cap in place. I also figured out how the tinsel wires are supposed to be soldered onto those connectors. I spoke with NVX and asked for a replacement. I shouldn't have to be repairing a new item.
