Quick question. The wire color sheet I printed off this site doesn't match the rear doors of my Tahoe. Here's the chart from this site https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/detail.asp?info=alarm&year=1995-97&make=Chevrolet&model=Tahoe&ID=17474&type=Stereo and my rear doors are red and brown on the right side and gray and white( I think) on the left. Any idea which is positive and negitive.
Thanks
Tim

You Can't Say You Don't Like Something If You Never Tried It
The best thing to do would be to get a multimeter and check for continuity, at both the head unit and the speaker connections. Or just hook up a speaker. If it sounds flat, usually that means the connection is backwards and all you'd need to do is reverse it. But a multimeter will give you a better idea as to which wire is which.
Good luck
Do you have a voltage meter? If so set it to ac voltage and play some tunes. If the wiring is correct you will get a + reading if it’s reversed you will get a - reading.
Here's the answer...Brown is Positive on the one door (brown and red wires). Looking at the plug the brown wire is labeled "b" and the red is labeled "a". "b" is positive on the other side aswell, I'm just not sure what color it is exactly. Hope this helps.
by the way....the rear door speakers have an amplifier for them specifically. I think it is mounted under the dash to the right of the steering column (or maybe under the driver seat?)
