audi A4, help install sub

HI everybody, I'm knew here at the forums, but I have a lot of knowhow about car audio, and electronics in general.

DESCRIPTION-I have a 2001 A4 with a non-Bose system in it. I tapped into the stock rear amplifier's low input wires and made RCA plugs. then I hooked it up to my Bazooka EL2100 amp driving 2 10" oldschool RF Punch woofers.

MY PROBLEM-As I try to adjust the gain setting on the amp to get the optimal volume, after about half way I get a constant boom,boom,boom,boom out of the woofers when there's no signal or when I'm changing between tracks. about 1/4 turn I get a good clean signal, but it is way to soft, almost no bass at all. I tried the same thing with the stock amp disconnected and it's the same. I also swaped the bazooka amp with 2 other amps (Profile, PPI) its the same. Someone suggested I use a line driver, would this help at all?

According to the Bazooka instructions, they actually say that the high-level inputs are the preferred connection whenever you can do it. And I've installed a few that way and they worked nice.

So I would just take the high-level signal at the rear speakers, put them into the Bazooka's high-level inputs, and see how it goes.

Your problem is you need a high to low converter which converts the high signal to a low signal https://www.crutchfield.com/S-dSiRaPLRe2H/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?i=101PL2 If your building your own rca cables you need to kick down the signal, if you do not do so then you will have too much power going to the low input source on your amp. Which is what is causing your problem. So either get the high to low converter or use the high inputs on your amp.
