I need to determine the function of the Sony CDX-C460 Head Unit's orange w/white stripe wire. I have all the others figured out and I assume this is an illumination wire but I want to be sure.
Any help is greatly appreciated!!

It is an illumination wire but unless you are absolutely positive that your vehicle has a +12 volt illumination wire to hook the sony wire up to, you'll be better off just leaving the sony wire disconnected and tape off the end. Also you should verify all wire functions with a multimeter.

Would anyone happen to have a pic of the plug for the same unit I have lost the plug for mine and I am going to hard wire it but I do not know what the pins are I know the 8 on the right are the speakers but need to know what the power wires are
