Okay, I have a Delco CD/Cassette/AM/FM stereo installed in an 86 Chevy Nova. Everything has been okay with it and it's been installed for quite some time. Anyhow, the fact is that when the lights are turned on the stereo doesn't illuminate and the lights turn off on the stereo. It turns out that the wire must have turned hot at some point because it sparks when it touches metal. For the life of me I can not figure out how or where the problem is coming from. Could some person help me?
And on a side note here: When it gets really hot outside the stereo will not read the CDs and it kicks the CD out with an error message. I noticed the stereo gets really hot. If anyone can will they tell me how I can alleviate this problem too if possible.
