hello people,

im installing an Alpine indash dvd player(model iva-d900) into a 99 eclipse gsx. The car has the factory infinity sound system. i bought the MITAH adapter to use the factory amp. when i hook up the remote turn on wire from the Alpine unit into the adapter i blow the fuse for the amp. Also the Alpine unit turns off when this happens. What can i do to get around this so i can use the factory amp??? Can anyone help me???

if you bought the alpine from someone respectable (i.e., crutchfield, bestbuy, c city) then you should be able to either call them or find a tecnical support number - especially if you bought a special adapter for the problem. if you paid money for something, then someone knows how it works or can tell you why its not working. worst case, get a cheapie 2 channel amp to run it for like a hundred bucks.
