I have an MR2 mk2 and have built a custom sub box to go behind the seat, using the Volume calculator for "Wedge Encloser 2" on this site, it gives the result of 0.38433 Cubic Feet. Now several questios arise, how the hell do I find out how many Litres this is as some manufacturers give the woofer spec in Litres?? Secondly, would an 8" woofer such as the JBL GT2-8 work in this unit.

Basic dimensions are:

Basic Measurements are Width = 22.4" Height 1=9" Height 2 = 4" Depth = 7" thickness = 3/4"

1 cu ft = 28.31687 litres

Generally, an 8" sub will work well in a 0.36 cu ft sealed enclosure. So it looks like you are on the right track.

I can't find the specs for the GT2-8, but the JBL GT800 8" sub will work well in a 0.36 cu ft sealed enclosure. So it looks like you are on the right track.

Multiply the cubic feet number times 28.31687. So, your 0.38433 Cubic Feet enclosure is the same as 10.883 litres.
