Thanks to the info by esmith69 I figured out the rear deck speakers, but the dash speakers seem to be encased in metal under the dash. does anyone know how to remove them?
Thanks
driver's side:
1. pull off knob for dash dimmer control, then remove a 12mm nut from the dimmer switch shaft.
2. remove 2 phillips head screws from top edge of lower dash section. one from left side and one from right side (next to ignition switch)
3. Remove 2 phillips head screws from bottom of dash panel, 1 at left side next to hood release lever, and the other at right side beside console.
5. Drop down lower dash section, disconnect speaker leads, and remove panel.
6. Remove 3 phillips head screws securing the enclosure to the dash panel and remove the enclosure.
passenger's side:
1. open glove box and remove 3 phillips head screws: 1 from each top corner of glovebox, and 1 from inside of box at the top.
2. Remove 2 phillips head screws from bottom, underside of dash trim: one from left side and the other from the right.
3. Lower the dash trim section down, disconnect the speaker leads and remove the lower dash section
4. Remove 3 phillips head screws securing the factory enclosure to the panel, remove the enclosure.
5. Depending on the size of the speaker to be installed, modify the factory enclosure or fabricate a bracket/adapter to mount the speaker.
6. Using the template supplied with the new speaker, mark, cut and drill the necessary holes for speaker mounting.
7. Secure the speakers with the mounting hardware that comes with them
8. reassemble the dash.
