I'm trying to add an aftermarket head unit to my '99 Mustang w/mach 460.  I have a OEM converter because the deck is high power.  Everything turns on, but I can barely hear anything come out of the speakers even after I adjust the converter.  I think it's got something to do with the ground for the amps, but I'm not sure.  If anyone could help, I would appreciate it.

Check the wiring on the hi to low converter. Are you using the factory Amp?

bberman1 is right, make sure that you are taking the signal after the amp for the converter, not after the deck in the dash.

I'm trying to use the factory amps. I'm using a High Power Line Output converter and it says to install it after the deck.  In fact, it has a wiring harness that plugs right in the factory wiring harness.  The connections seem to be OK.
