Since my last visit to the forum I've run 2 gauge power wire from my battery, through a Monster Cable fuse, through the firewall, and into my trunk where it goes through a Monster Cable Distribution Block (1-2GA wire into 3-4GA wires). Also I redid the rest of my wiring while I was at it, now my RCAs run down the left side of my car, and my power wire, remote bass control signal, and power turn on signal run down the right. I'm going to add another battery in parallel in my trunk, using one of the 4GA connections on my distribution block hopefully.
My question is, how do I make the final connection from the 2GA power wire to the terminal on my battery? I know I'll need some sort of huge crimp-on ring terminal (like the one's they make for 10 gauge wire at Lowes but BIGGER). Do any of you know who carries that type of connection?
Thanks Guys

I would check your local install place(like best buy, audio king) or check online at either
crutchfield.com or
partsexpress.com. That would be my advice.

Yea they are not very common to find that size anywhere but an automotive shop.
Were you talking about something like these
crimp-on ring terminals? Since those have an 8mm hole, make sure that whatever nut you you use will be wide enough so that the ring can't slip off the end.

Go to any car audio shop or even a circuit city, they will have the ring terminals that you need. Also since you are running 2awg wire you should also redo your grounds for the vehicle to at least two gauge. I would also recommend that you but some new battery terminals to make the connection easier. Also some battery terminals have a clamp down input that will accomadate 2awg wire. Esmith the link didn't work.

I promise to be good.
Tell Darwin I sent you.
I've been sick lately, sorry I won't be on much.
ahhh darn...sorry bout that and thanks for letting me know. Yea I agree with auex about the replacement clamp--I was going to suggest that in my previous post but for some reason I forgot to mention it.
At best buy we don't carry 2-gauge ring terminals, except when you buy the whole amp power kit. We sell 4 and 8 gauge ring terminals separately, but not 2 or 1/0 gauge ring terminals. I'm almost positive it's the same thing at circuit city.
Okie here's the link again, hopefully it will work this time. They don't have any 2-gauge terminals, though they have 1/0, 4, and 8 gauge terminals. They do offer the replacement battery clamps though, and while most of them just allow ring terminal type connections, a couple of the models provide set screw connections as well, which is really what you'd want to be looking for if you went that route.
Sounddomain also has a lot of those replacement clamp thingies as well.

Here is a site that has all the connectors you will need to connect your cable to the battery. If you tell me what kind of terminals (top, side mount) you have I can let you know what you need
