i had a clarion ttx7101 tv tuner with caa-357
stand-alone option (remote control and DIN to RCA
cable)
i have few question
1.  where should i plug the DIN/RCA cable? in the
changer output or source unit output?
2.  what must be the position switch in the tuner?
should it be FM MOD or DECK or C-BUS?  i wanted to use
the RCA audio out instead of the FM-MOD.
3.  do i need to connect both power leads, i mean the
power leads that goes out from the DIN/RCA cable and
the power leads that come in at the back of the tv
tuner
4.  a detailed diagram would help as well

:errr:thanks

Hook it up to the DIN connector labeled "source unit".

My guess would be to set the switch to "C-bus" since the caa-357 is a C-bus component and not a head unit, but I am not 100% sure if that's correct or not.

From what I've read, the power leads coming out from the din/rca cable are only used when you use the optional fm modulator, so just tape them up and don't connect to them.  However, the tv tuner's power/ground connections need to be hooked up regardless.

thanks,

i manage to make it work with FM mod switch position in the tuner, power and accessory power connected to the back of the tuner

but the audio i'm getting from the DIN/RCA cable is distorted (it's probably getting interference from the FM modulated audio).

i tried the positon switch to C-bus and deck but it seems i'm not getting any video or audio out, also i tried this with and without the accessory power connected

i will recheck again
