I found a Kicker Solo-Baric L5 S12L5 12" Dual 4-ohm Voice Coil Subwoofer for $175. Is this a good? If so can anybody recommend me a good amp to power this sub.

You can find it for cheaper are you buying form a shop or the net?  I would suggest a JBL 600.1 to power the sub https://www.purecaraudio.com/product.asp?0=200&1=352&3=323 Also do you want the sub with an enclosure or without.

You can get an L7 for the same price on www.cbrstereo.com   does the price include a box?  How much are you looking to spend on an amp?
