Hi,

I just bought a Rampage ACD-13CS radio/CD player.  I also bought a wire harness and connected it to the radio.  The wiring is correct and I installed it per instructions but when I first turned it on the LED display didn't show anything and I could hear the CD motor turning.  I put in a CD and it took it, but it wouldn't eject it.  When I take the face plate off, there is a little red light blinking so it seems it's getting power.  I tried reseting it also and that didn't help.  I checked all the fuses in the car and they are good.  It's a 91 Honda Accord that I just bought and the radio/cassette player that came with the car wasn't working when I got it either.  I don't know anything about installing but I did connect everything correctly.   Could it be some wiring internally that went bad or maybe a defective radio?

Thanks,

Marc from Hawaii

Did you press the "source" or "ON" button?  when you first connect everything it won't turn on the first time on its own--you have to press the on button or whatever it is for your particular unit.  From that point on though, it will automatically turn itself on and off when the vehicle is turned on and off.

Your problem is probably the unit itself.  When i sold my last car i threw a rampage cd player in it because it was the cheapest one i could find.  It worked when i tested it but about a week after i sold the car the kid that bought it started calling me saying basically the same thing as you.  I don't know if it ever got fixed or not cause i kinda ignored him but trust me karma has come back on me since then.

I got it working.  For some reason it was the blue wire (antenna/amlifier) that wasn't work right.  My friend dis-connected the blue wire that I had connected from the cd player to the wire harness and he connected the blue wire from the cd player with the power wire and the blue wire from the harness isn't connect to anything now.

Thanks for you help,

Marc
