I got a kenwood kdc-217 stereo for my  1990 Corolla. I was able to connect the speakers but there were six wires left over in the corolla. There was one black., red and yellow and 2 others I believe. I was only able to get the flashing red light to work. The harness for the deck has 2 wires left so I do not know what to connect. Like I said only the red flashing light works The deck does not function. Does anyone know what the other wires are for or where can I get a wiring scheme Or ANYTHING!. I need help!

The wires listed above are the only ones needed to hook up your aftermarket head unit

I have only 2 wires on the kenwood Wiring Harness left, a red one and yellow one. I connected them to the matching wires in the car. However I still have a white wire with a  green strip, a white wire and a black wire. Do any of these wires need to be doubled up? I already grounded the unt. They don't appear to match the scheme as stated above. When I detach the face only the red light comes on but the unit does not function

read the manual for the kenwood. do NOT match wire colors between radio and car. a red wire on the kenwood is probably constant or ignition power. red in the car could be anything from a ground to a speaker to something for your windshield wipers
