2003 gm bose or aftermarket

I have a 2003 silverado with the 6-disk head and bose speaker system.  My last truck was a 2001 silverado with a plain old cd player a factory system.  I replace the system in my old truck with the pioneer deh-p47dh, infinity speaker alround, mtx thunderdome incloser and mtx amps pushing it all.  Man that was a great sounding system!  Now, I have this bose system with Onstar, stearing wheel controls and it sound good, but not nearly the power or bass of my last system.  I tryed adding my sub with a high/low pass to RCA's but the bass sounds like sh*t.  I would like to have the same sound that I had before, but don't want to lose the stearing wheel controls,6-disk changer, onstar and the good looks of the factory system.  I can not decide what to do!  Any help or someone that has been through the same?

Where did you tag the wires for your LOC? Does your truck have a factory sub?

yes has factory sub, tapped the rear speaker wire's going to the back speakers.

I'm in a similar situation with my '03 Trailblazer (Bose 6-disc changer, amp, no sub (that i know of)).  It seems as if the low-levels inputs I ma getting from my hi=lo converter are too low.  I have read about the Vendetta II (https://www.sounddomain.com/sku/PERVENDETTAII)... is this the best way to go? or is there another set of wires that I can tap with a standard converter?  (I have also considered trying a line driver).  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

PAC makes a peripheral interface called the OEM-1 that can help you add on an amplifier for the subwoofer onto Bose systems.

Well, it sounds like your have the same system that I have.  My system did have a 5 1/2 sub under the dash in the front of the center console.  Find out if you have a sub!  Because,  I found out that all the wire coming out of the bose amp and going to speakers have already been crossed over.  There is little if any low level ( bass ) freq. to get from those wires.  I had to tear my entire center  console  out of my truck to find the wires leading to the factory sub.  Here I had speaker wire with a low level freq.  You can tap into thoughs wires coming out of the amp, but I at the time I didn't know which ones they were. After doing this, my sh*t sound back to normal.  Put a heavy bass CD into you system and turn it up.  If it "booms" a little, you have a sub.  Bose rarely uses the same speaker  to push there highs, midls and lows. They isolate each level with a different speaker.   Thats why there systems sound so clean and crisp.  How this was some help.

Oh, forgot to add. I looked into the PAC interfaces and they are way to expencive.  Just find the speaker wires coming out of the bose amp that has the low level freq and tap you speaker wire to RCA converter into those wires and that will do the trick.  Sorry, for the miss spelled words.
