Is it possible that a cap can cause your system to shut down. My system was working fine and my lights only dimmed when playing at high volumes. I installed a 4 farad cap and now my systems shuts down when I turn up the volume. The amps never did this until I installed the cap.

Have you trying Taking out the Cap (after you installed)to see if you systems keeps shutting down!!!
