Does the length of the port effect the frequency of the bass. If I was to have a long port will my bass be deeper? Does anybody know the airspace of a Alpine Type R 15" Ported?

yes, as does the opening diameter of the port. there are several port length calculators available online. also taken into account are the box dimensions and speaker specifications.

this is one that i use, it seems to work well most of the time:

The internal volume for the recommended ported enclosure for this subwoofer is 2.25 cu. ft.;  also, a port 4" in diameter and 10" long should be used.
