I was wondering if wiring two different amps to one sub is possible.  I have a memphis belle 16-MC600D rated at 100 watts at 4ohms on the 5th channel.  I was thinking of adding a jl audio 250.1 but didn't know if that is a good idea or not.  Thanks in advance for any comments and or suggestions.

definitely a very bad idea...even if both amps' specs matched up, no two amps will output the exact same amount of power so one voice coil would get more power than the other->VERY BAD

and that's only if you have a DVC sub and are lucky enough to have the same mono signal being fed to both amps.  If it's an SVC sub and/or the amps get a stereo input, I don't even think the hookup is physically possible when you have two different amplifiers.
