Yea I thought about the alpines, but the rms on those infinity's is unbelievable! i would def need another amp for them. I found the infinity's on ebay for $120, where as with crutchfield they were 250 for the 693's

I bought them a while ago, but I had a pair of Boston Acoustics 3-way 6x9's. They sounded great. I bought them at a Good Guys for about 180, but I don't think they carry them anymore. I was happy with them, especially once I had them hooked up to an amp, very crisp and clean while providing a good range of highs and lows.

the rms on the inifinity arn;t near what they do, ther enot very good, i have used them in my car, i had a 4 channel hooke dup to them, they blew, i wa on;ly running 75 wattsd rms to them, if you esnt speakers for bass, go with the alpine type R's, if you want lots of treble, get the Pioneer premiere 4 ways or 5 ways

No 6x9 is a good 6x9. Go with seperates in a custom plate. Much better sound quality!

You don't need to spend up big on rear speakers as all you want them for is to reproduce sound from there, you don't want them overpowering your fronts. But personal opinion i would also go with the Alpine type R's.
