Is this a bad thing to do if you run speaker wire and the power wire near each other. When I say near, I mean not tied together. 4 AWG Power wire and 16 AWG speaker wire.

Why is it not a good idea? What side effects can be sen by doing this? The wires would be a good inch apart.

It can lead to interference from the magnetic fields surrounding the power wire, if its you only choice give it a try and see if there is noise added.

Running RCAs near power wires can give you noise but I've never had problems with speaker wires.

I did Had some Noise problem when The SPeakers Wire were near to power wires...
